Lil Wayne delivered the sequel to his 2009 No Ceilings mixtape as promised. It comes with 24 tracks and features Mannie Fresh, Jae Millz, Gudda Gudda, Shanell, and Euro. Listen below. Wayne freestyles over tracks like Drake and Future’s “Jumpman,” Post Malone’s “White Iverson,” Bryson Tiller’s “Don’t,” and The Weeknd’s “The Hills.”
It’s funny how before every project Wayne drops, every music outlet and Twitter critic says,
“this is Wayne’s last chance to redeem himself.”
Then, the project drops and they all crash the internet trying to download it. Lol then listens to 2 songs and deems it trash…. and repeat. Sure does seem like you all do a lot of work just to hate.
“He used too much auto tune,” they said. “No Ceilings 2 is trash,” they said. “It’s nothing like the first No Ceilings,” they said.
You can’t possibly say that this ENTIRE mixtape is trash. There may be some tracks on here that you can’t connect with, but trash? nah. He gave us some bars in there. (it’s amazing that he can still do this, being that he has tapes full.. I mean, he’s given us so many over the years)
Can’t say too much auto tune and then go listen to Thug, RHQ, and Future…. because where did they get it from? Wayne. The original No Ceilings tape came out 6 years ago, so if you expected him to be in the same space musically, that’s on you……..LOL
My only complaint is that he could’ve left some tracks from WATTBA off…. oh and threw an outro with Mannie on there.
Mini rant/review over. No need to talk features.
All in all, never forget: music is art. Art is subjective.
Put all previous opinions aside and have a second listen.
